The Swinton Estate is one of the largest privately owned estates in England, spanning 20,000 acres of beautiful North Yorkshire countryside which includes everything from farmland to forestry and reservoirs.

It stretches from the River Ure in Wensleydale and up onto the moors, bordering The Yorkshire Dales National Park and it also falls within the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

What an amazing place to bring the dogs

Located right in the woods, with a beautiful view over the fields and surrounded by thick forest, the tree lodges really are a sight to behold.

Just a short walk through the woods away from the famous druids' temple, along with many other walking options, it truly is a dog walking paradise.

Dog beds and bowls are provided by swinton bivouac and dogs are welcome at just £15 per dog per stay, they only ask that you keep dogs on leads around livestock and pick up any waste.

There's no need to rough it in the tree lodges. With a beautiful en-suite that includes a gorgeous copper sink, along with shower and toilet, Bivouac has not held back!

Sleep in a real bed, kick back on the sofa and put the kettle on for a cuppa. Then on a night, stick on the log burning fire and enjoy this lovely retreat in nature, with no need to go without any home comforts.

Swinton Bivouac's Cafe is Dog-Friendly too, great for those lovely breakfasts or for a quick bite before a walk.
