Historic Shepherd huts located in Ambleside, near Windermere.
Unique in the Lake district , and a first for Glamping With Dogs.
These huts are hidden away in the grounds near Rydall hall, William Wordsworth’s historic home of which there could not be a more perfect setting.

“The shepherd strays, a rolling hut his home” -William Wordsworth

Surrounded by free ranging sheep, (of whom might startle you when they start scratching their bums on the side of the huts!) these huts really are something to experience.
The grass is kept nice and short by the sheep’s grazing which is handy for the dogs, and you are surrounded by woodlands for lovely walks.

Internally the huts are decorated to a very high standard; there are comfy beds and wooden floors, a table and storage underneath as well as a wood burning fire that is also a cooker.
They are very cosy inside, plenty of space for a couple of small to middling dogs, but you might struggle with a large dog.

If you love glamping , and history , poetry and beautiful views... how could you not try herdy huts ?
