Little Handicrafts

Handmade dog beds and other products, with the profits going to charity

Little Handicrafts make a variety of snug and luxurious dog beds with the profits going to 'Dedicated to Dachshunds with IVDD'.

There are all sorts of beds to choose from and they are all handmade, to your specifications.

What could be better? Having the exact bed you want, and helping benefit poorly dogs.

It's Raven who claimed the bed for her own though, and as you can see from the look on her face right here, she has no intention of letting her snuggly den go anytime soon!

We tried out a lovely corduroy cosy bed, lined with teddy soft fleece it's designed with dogs in mind who just love to snuggle up under the covers.

As you can see from the photos, it was a huge hit with both dogs who tried it out.

Another great plus is that these beds are fully washable! The cover comes off and the entire thing can be washed, which is always a plus.

Little handicrafts also make some great beds to

measure for crates/cages, with the addition of 'bumpers' that tie around the edges of the cage to make the cage that bit more comfortable and to give your dog something comfortable to lean against.

So who are Dedicated to Dachshunds? And why are they worth supporting?

Dedicated to Dachshunds with IVDD is an association with the goal of providing assistance to owners and dogs suffering from IVDD.

What is IVDD ? Invertebral Disc Disease, which is more commonly referred to as a 'Slipped  disc' is an extremely painful condition of the spinal cord that can lead to temporary or permanent paralysis among many other debilitating symptoms.

Due to the length of their backs compared to their height, dachshunds are frequent sufferers of IVDD .

Surgery is the only treatment for IVDD and it is expensive and not always successful.

Dedicated to Dachshunds with IVDD loans out strollers, drag bags, slings, harnesses, pet pens, crates and many other aids that help dogs suffering from or recovering from IVDD and other ailments.
