Beamish is a world famous open air museum, where you can see what it was like for those that lived in the 1820s, 1910s & 1940s

The museum is truly alive, with costumed staff and volunteers throughout the 350 acre site that really bring the experience to life.

Travel on trams, see the horses that pulled the wagons, and visit the numerous sights throughout Beamish.

Dogs are allowed in all outdoor areas of Beamish, but not inside any of the buildings.

The world-famous Jubilee confectioners is an absolute must when visiting Beamish (though your dog will have to wait outside while you pop in, to stock up on goodies), The Victorian sweet shop sells lots of traditional sweets by the pound, along with traditional chocolate bars and much more.
